Lodging and Transportation

Transportation:

The closest airport to the University is in Philadelphia. The preferred shuttle service is Delaware Express. You are responsible for booking your own transportation from the airport to campus; we will assist you with the return shuttle.

Lodging:

Arrangements for on-campus lodging for participants have been made at Independence Hall, see map.  Check in is at the Christiana Commons. Each room has Ethernet and wireless access. Rates are as follows:

• $35.00/night per person, single occupancy (shared bathroom with one other room)
• $24.00/night per person, double occupancy (shared bathroom with one other room)
• $25.00/person linen package

If you want to stay at the dorms, please complete the relevant portion of the registration form. 

Hotel-style accommodations are also available at the on-campus Courtyard by Marriott.  Please contact the hotel directly and ask for the MPI rate of $152/night + tax.  You must contact the hotel by May 22, 2015 to guarantee this rate.

​If you have reserved a room at the Independence Hall dorm, parking is $1.50 per day. The dorm is within walking distance of the conference rooms.

If you have reserved a room at the Marriott Hotel, parking is complimentary.  It is within walking distance of the conference rooms.

If you are commuting to the conference, please contact the department for a parking pass, which is $7.50 per day.​

​Lunch will be provided for all participants on Monday-Thursday at the Trabant University Center food court.  Dinner will be provided for all participants on Monday evening.  There are a number of locations to dine on Main Street within easy walking distance of both lodging locations. A list of local restaurants will be provided in your orientation packet. 

Wired and wireless Ethernet access will be available at the dorms and on campus.  Instructions for connecting to the network will be provided in your registration packet.
