The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware seeks to hire a continuing track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a documented history of excellence in teaching lower level courses, particularly in the calculus sequence.
We seek candidates committed to and/or experienced in teaching in large lectures, leveraging technology to support student learning, and collaborating with teams of instructors to improve teaching. Only applicants with excellent teaching skills and a commitment to studying and improving teaching, documented in the application materials, will be considered for this position. The successful candidates can expect to begin on or about September 1, 2018.
Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must have a doctoral degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field. Candidates will primarily be teaching introductory mathematics courses to a variety of audiences.
