This past February 5th, the new book Variational Techniques for Elliptic Partial Differential Equations: Theoretical Tools and Advanced Applications, published by the CRC Press, has hit the shelves. This monograph has been coauthored by Francisco Javier-Sayas, a professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, together with two alumni of our PhD Program, Matthew Hassell and Thomas Brown. This book is divided into two parts: the first one is Professor Sayas's incarnation of the Elliptic PDE graduate course at UD, and the second contains more advanced applications to physical models in fluids, solids, electromagnetism, potential theory, etc.
