The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware invites applications for multiple temporary non-tenure track faculty positions.
Candidates must have an M.S. or Ph.D. in mathematics or in a closely related discipline.
Evidence of previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is required, with the ability to teach a wide range of courses such as college algebra, pre-calculus, single and multiple variable calculus. The ability to teach courses in areas of actuarial science, applications of mathematics in economics, or optimization would also be welcome.
Demonstrated ability to teach in large enrollment, coordinated courses will be viewed favorably.
Candidates will contribute to excellence in our teaching mission, teaching up to four courses each semester. Dedication to working closely with students and other instructors will be expected.
The one-year appointment will begin on September 1, 2020 and is renewable up to two times subject to department needs and satisfactory performance.
